What is your most memorable wedding?
I'll never forget a Wedding I worked on Years ago at The Natural History Museum that had the tables set up around the giant dinosaur in the main entrance hall. It was a sight to behold and was done so beautifully it looked quite magical.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Timeless, Flawless, Bespoke, Classic, Beauty
What about your business are you most proud of?
Nothing makes me prouder then when a Bride chooses me to be her Bridal Make Up Artist. It is such a great feeling when you've made someone look and feel their most beautiful and you know you'll get to do it all again for their Big Day. Receiving the most amazing testimonials after the Big Day gas come and gone and realising that your effort on theBig Day was recognised and appreciated is the Best feeling.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
The wedding suppliers at the top of their game get booked up fast and even Hair and Make Up can get booked up to a year in advance. So if you have a peak wedding date get those suppliers secured to avoid disappointment.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A Father collected pearls in his travels with work over the years and he attached them to hair pins and they were used on the Brides hair which blew me away!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Brides fill in a Bridal Enquiry form which gives me detailed information about their Wedding Day, I then reply with a detailed quote and a list of services that I provide. If they then wish to proceed they book a trial after which they decide if they wish me to Beautify them on their Big Day.
What do you love most about your job?
Every Bride is different, every wedding is different so what is required of me differs with every job. I love creating make up that works with the brides vision of how she wishes to look for her special day.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Take care of your skin in the months leading up to the wedding, do not leave trying new products out until the month of the wedding in case it does not suit your skin. Make up will always go on more smoothly, hold better and look more beautiful on skin that has had some tlc fact!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I engage with my clients and if I see they are nervous I will reassure them that I've seen it all before and then make sure her bridal party can help out if anything needs doing so that she avoids getting stressed. I've done everything from helping brides into dresses and helping them dry flowers so that they leave on time and the stress is alleviated. I've seen it all before they usually haven't so I'm there to guide them through the morning and that usually reassures them.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
If they have airbrush make up it usually holds so a touch of compact powder and a re application of a lip colour is all that is usually required. Have a bridesmaid with those in their bag, plus tissues if there are tears that I advise are lightly dabbed, and mints as some brides sometimes get a dry mouth through nerves so that can help
