What is your most memorable wedding?
Tough on....theses been so many memorable moments over the years. The bride in a red dress which her family had no idea about! She looked gorgeous and the shock on her mum and dads face! The bride having photos in her suite bath in a fabulous fluffy looking dress that looked like bubbles. The late mother-of-the-brides photo pinning to the brides bouquet, she was there in spirit, so touching! The bridesmaid who didn't fit into her dress... slight boob problem but we worked it out in the end (she was uncomfortable all day poor love) Like I said....too many to choose from x
What about your business are you most proud of?
All of it! Taking a leap of faith 12 years ago and I'm still here!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Simplify! Beautiful weddings don't have to be lavish, it's about making new memories as a united couple.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A brides handmade bouquet. Made of vintage buttons and brooches by her mother. It was heavy but absolutely stunning, in fact I think it maybe amongst my photos?
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Typically I'm dealing with the bride more then the couple.
First contact is usually by email then we go on to phone/meeting in person. Trials follow, one is normally enough unless the bride changes her mind about the style/ hair accessories she's wanting (these things happen, it's no big deal). By the time we get nearer the wedding we are in contact every month or so, double checking the final details and final payment. Any unforeseen are dealt with. Then it's the big day.....
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the transformation (Pj's to bridal gown). It's such a special day for a family and it's a privilege to be part of each and every one I work for.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Waterproof mascara or if you're feeling flush, lash extensions
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
By going above and beyond the call of duty. I've cut flowers from bouquets, done the washing u, polished shoes, helped bridesmaids into their dresses and always having a klennex, plasters & sewing kit to hand :)
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
In regards to hair.....a good strong hairspray and don't fiddle with the hair. Also professionally done makeup always lasts the day.
