With over 40 years’ experience and hundreds of cakes later, people are still asking for the personal touch. Our traditional or contemporary wedding cake designs, are completely bespoke and focus on intricate craftsmanship. I specialise in wired sugar flowers which can be as lifelike as a bridal bouquet. Every flower, petal, butterfly, bride and groom, or cake topper design is lovingly hand crafted. Combination choice of Sponge wedding cakes and Rich Fruit Wedding Cakes and you may choose to have all fruit, all sponge, or fruit and sponge cakes of different tiers and different flavour. Cakes can be made to suit most diets including true organic, vegetarian, alcohol free, dairy free, lactose free, or to your specific requirements. Cakes can be stacked, or make a smaller cake ‘stand out’ with height by using either cake pillars, separators, or choose to hire from my range of elegant cake stands of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 tier stands plus base cake stands of Chrome, Silver, Gold, Pine, including an illuminated fountain, and many others. Basic prices are details on my web site for every size and shape of cake. However, as every cake is different, the price is established based on how many portions you will need to feed your guests, cake size, shape, flavour and final decoration. I offer a free one-to-one personal consultation to design the Cake of Your Dreams for Your Special Day with absolutely no obligation to purchase. A £50 deposit will reserve the date and the final amount will not be payable until three weeks before your Wedding Date. Describe your typical process with a couple.
Before designing your wedding cake I first discuss how many guests you need to cater for, the cake flavours, the shape preference as this dictates the sizes of the cakes needed. Basic cake prices are illustrated, the design sketched and final price based on the type of decoration established.

Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
My personal cake making experience started when I was 18 making birthday cakes for my son and his friends which progressed to making other children and party cakes. As the children grew up these became Engagement Cakes and then my first Wedding Cake in 1975 was a Traditional three tier Royal Iced rich fruit cake supported on cake pillars with over 70 hand made royal iced rose buds. The Royal icing knowledge was handed down from my Mother who was a Professional Chef.
What would be your show stopper in the Great British Bake Off?
As time would be of the essence, it would have to be a very Traditional cake of three tiers, fondant covered, with side drapes for Elegance, Fondant rose sugar flowers to the corners, and a pretty hydrangea ball of blossoms as a cake topper.
