Describe your typical process with a couple.
When an enquiry is received, we may contact with the couple and arrange a meeting to discuss their ideas and taste yummy cake! The process is quite straight forward; we will liaise with the wedding planner, if there is one, or the venue and other services that are involved in the day to ensure your cake is delivered on time and safely.
What is your signature cake?
Double chocolate sponge with Baileys Irish Cream filling, coated in a rich chocolate ganache - a little bit of what you fancy is good for you!!
What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?
We created a cake, which the groom had ordered; his future wife had a 'thing' for frogs. The groom requested frogs sitting on top and on the side of the wedding cake - it looked good!! They were delighted and the mother of the bride couldn't believe the frogs and lily-pad were edible.
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
I have always been creative, making wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses, but about 15 years ago I got into baking and decided this is where I wanted to be. After several courses I built my first cake business and here we are today.
