- All styles can be created including traditional, modern and novelty cakes; tiered, stacked, chocolate, sugarpaste or royal iced - the choice is yours including knife sprays, cake toppers and table centre pieces. Bride and grooms attire can be copied to resemble the couple on the day. Favourite pets are often added by their feet. Flavours to suit your palette and dietary needs can be worked to. Consultations including tastings and are arranged to suit both of our schedules whether that be days, evenings or weekends. There is no mark up for a wedding cake the cake is costed like any occasion's cake ensure you get best value for money. Set up and delivery can be arranged costs vary according to distance. She is also a qualified teacher and runs 1:1's and courses for larger parties. 2015 saw several mum's and brides to be attending their unique course to make their own cake and all of it's decorations.

What is your most memorable wedding?
I have to say the 8cake Peacock Engagement cake in 2016, which would make a stunning wedding cake even if smaller.

What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Cheap isn't always best, check who you are buying a cake from not everyone puts their own cakes on their sites.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Homemade mini preserves for each party.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Initial contact often via email with ideas from the couple and often mixed photos. Confirm date, how many to feed and preferences/themes to suit couple. Suggestions/options typed up with prices and sent to be reviewed and select initial choice from. Consultation to taste cakes and final choices. Deposit paid. Confirmation as to whether cake is being set up or collected. Minor tweaks to design are ok up to one month before. bulk of payment 2 weeks before wedding, final amount week of wedding.
What is your signature cake?
I don't have one it is important to me that each cake is unique just like the bride and groom. If talking about flavours the three most chosen are Vanilla cake with buttercream and jam, chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling and orange cake with lemon curd buttercream.
What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?
An alpine scene with lakes, cycling couple and sheep. BUT I have a cake coming up combining traditional with butterflies and superheroes to the rear.
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
My mother taught me baking. A friend wanted to do a cake course for her sisters 18th Birthday and we took courses together and then started doing friends cakes together.
What would be your show stopper in the Great British Bake Off?
3 tier cake one of them to include triple ginger cake YUM! Sugarpasted, sugar flowers and brush embroidery.
