What is your most memorable wedding?
Frank & Winnie! The vintage style wedding cake displayed on a water fountain with boxer dog bride & groom cake topper. The reaction from the bride, groom & guests was unbelievable. A very personal cake to the bride and groom and indeed their friends and family. (Frank & Winnie were like their children)!!

What about your business are you most proud of?
Well......What can I say! I absolutely love my business! I have to admit I'm proud of the entire Thing! The ability to bring my customers requests and imagination to life in a cake. The fact that I have taught myself, established my business alone and the reputation I have built up over the years, with wonderful customer feedback and reviews. The best bit......The reaction when I lift the lid from the box / when they see the assembled cake........Makes my day!!...Priceless!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Have your ideas in mind but be open to suggestion!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It all starts with an initial discussion with the couple to establish the date & venue for the wedding reception, Style and size of cake that is preferred. Then a meeting, or further email contact if the couple live in another part of the country which is often the case. Tasting and consultation if required along with continual contact with thoughts and ideas for the design of the cake.
What is your signature cake?
A beautifully decorated cake with handcrafted flowers to match the brides bouquet.(Roses, Peony & Freesia are by far the most popular choice and just happen to be my favourite to make)!
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
It all started with my love of making sugar flowers! What better way to use them than to decorate a wedding cake. Matching the brides bouquet and floral arrangements. I absolutely love experimenting and creating effects in sugar to decorate cakes for weddings and all occasions, often laying awake a night with yet another brainwave! As a friend has told me on several occasions "they're not cakes, they're a work of art"
What would be your show stopper in the Great British Bake Off?
I would say My light Victoria sponge cake decorated with artisan icing, edible lace and of course finished with my handmade sugar flowers. Possibly displayed on my running water fountain cake stand.
