The bakery is owned and ran by Corrine Winwood, a professional baker with a almost a decade of experience in making wedding and celebration cakes. Corrine’s skill and attention to detail are exceptional and she always ensures that every product that leaves us is of the highest standards. Corrine works from her bakery or from home in her 5 star food hygiene rated kitchens. Corrine’s dedication to her craft has earned Cozzmic Cakes a reputation that has led to her cakes featuring in national publications. Alongside cakes, Cozzmic Cakes offers a broad range of treats and confectionary to suit any occasion. From Cinder toffee and brittles to biscuits and gingerbreads, there’s always something good on offer in the shop when you pop by. One of the most popular treats we sell is Corrine’s cake pops. Her secret recipe makes these extra delicious and they’re never around for long. In addition to all sweets and treats, Cozzmic Cakes is also a stockist of baking and cake making supplies. What is your most memorable wedding?

I honestly cannot pic between two cakes I did this year. The first is a 4 tier silhouette cake showing the couples past and how they came to there wedding day starting from the bottom tier up. The second was a geeky three tier cake done for a couple that loved everything Sci fi and Fantasy. Both where so detailed and meaningful to the clients I loved making them!

Precise, Unique, Creative, Flavourful and Detailed.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Honestly my clients feedback. I am nothing without my clients and there trust and faith in me. The feedback that they give allows me to build my business and for people to know hoe passionate I am about my job. I love what I do and I really feel that people see this in my work, and the best way to get people to know is by other peoples feedback.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Do what you want to do for your big day. It is hard to accommodate everyone and what they would like, and at the end of the day this is your big day. They should be happy to be apart of your day regardless of where it is at or what you choose to do. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love when couples theme there tables. So rather than Table One, Table Two and so on, they choose things linked with these likes or theme. Games, Movies, Books, Disney, anything like this. Table decorations and place names to match the theme throughout too.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

When I see a couple for the first time I will ask a number of questions; What do they have in mind? Do they have any pictures? How many are they looking to cater for? Are there any dietary requirements I need to know about? Where is the cake going too? I look to sketch the design out ans try to translate to them how I see the cake based on what they have given me or described to me. I try to get colour samples, and make the cake to look at much apart of the wedding as everything else if this is what is needed. After I have sketches done I will offer samples so that the couple know what flavours they can have in their cake. I'm happy to accommodate different flavours that I might not usually do as I want to make this cake everything I can for the couples big day. I take a deposit once I know we are happy with everything, and I ask that the cake is paid in full 2 weeks before the wedding day.

What is your signature cake?

My half and half cakes, my hand painted cakes and the fact that is use chocolate in my buttercream are all signatures I am very proud of.

What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?

No two cakes have ever been the same, all the wedding cakes are unique and custom made to the couples specifications, I don't have a most original one as they are all so very different.

Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.

I have been making cakes for all occasions for a while, the first big wedding cake I did was a gift for a friend and it was a four tier, hand painted silhouette cake depicting there life so far together. Airbrushed and finished with a Mickey and Minnie topper which where hand made the cake is one of my biggest accomplishments. I fell in love with making large unique cakes from that point on.

What would be your show stopper in the Great British Bake Off?

A 3 tier wedding cake, Caramel, Chocolate Guinness, and Vanilla, all made with chocolate butter cream. Both white and milk chocolate. Done in the theme of the Dark Crystal and the Labyrinth.
