Modden, Traditional, Pretty, Vintage, Tasty
What about your business are you most proud of?
All of my products are made fresh to order and unique to every bride.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Spend time looking and choosing your venue. This is going to be one of the most important aspects of your wedding so make sure they offer you what you want and will accommodate to your needs.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
My typical process would be for a couple to make contact and if they have an idea of what they want to provide photo's etc. We can then arrange a meeting to finalise details and a sample box can be provided if required. I then draw up the details in a contract, send them to the customer and they sign and return to me with a deposit which secures the date. 4 weeks prior to wedding I ask for balances to be paid and make sure all details are correct ready for final preparations.
What is your signature cake?
Rich fruit cake or cupcakes in any flavour.
What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?
A naked wedding cake packed with lots of fresh fruit, 3 tiers with jam and buttercream presented on a rustic log cake stand.
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
I have always enjoyed baking and have done it for a very early age. I love seeing the joy on people's faces when they enjoy a good cake and it gives me a sense of pleasure baking things people enjoy and remember.
What would be your show stopper in the Great British Bake Off?
