Hi guys, firstly congratulations on your upcoming wedding, thankyou for popping on to my page, I have been designing wedding and celebration cakes for the last 20 years and been in business for 7, I am home based and self taught, I love inviting peopleto our purpose built cake studio to see a little bit of what I do and also to give you the opportunity to see where your cake will be being made. I am also a big believer in not giving someone something you wouldn't be happy to receive.

What is your most memorable wedding?
My best friend's, I was responsible for the cake and after spending 10 months creating the flowers for it I then had to set it up in a barn where every time a child ran past the floor would shake, as would the cake. It was very nerve wracking and I was glad when the cake was finally cut
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Bespoke, stylish, modern, elegant, on trend.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My Van! It sounds silly but my uncle was my biggest supporter and always had more faith in me than I did. After he passed away I vowed I would make it work, brought my van and had a giant candy floss put on the bonnet (my uncles nickname was floss. Just knowing I am now in a position to be able to afford things like than means I know I have done him proud.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Make it about the two of you, to many people try to please everyone (me included) it's your day, do it your way!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Ours, we had a Shelby Mustang drive me to the church, it is my husband's favourite car from gone in 60 seconds and I did it as a surprise for him.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Normally we will arrange a consultation, the clients will then chose samples to try, talk to me about ideas they have, themes, colour scheme etc and we will then sit and draw up a rough design over a cuppa :) I will then draw up a more detailed design with all the clients requirements and email it over. Every client has the opportunity to change their designs, flavours and if they need to keep coming back untill they are 100% happy then that's what happens, I like tea so come back as often as you like :)
What is your signature cake?
Candy floss, bizarre? Absolutely but it works and is one of my my popular flavours
What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?
I had a forest green and gold Asian wedding cake to do, the whole thing was covered in forest green fondant and then hand piped in a gold henna design
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
I have been making cakes since I was a child and when my children were born I did their birthday cakes, wedding cakes just seemed like a natural progression. I love making cakes, I love seeing people happy so just thought why not!
