Lucie is passionate about using the finest ingredients including creating delicious gluten free, dairy free or vegan cakes too. We take great pride in all of our work and in particular love creating sugar flowers and vintage, rustic, elegant and whimsical wedding cake styles. We are located just outside Ringwood on the Dorset and Hampshire borders and every wedding cake is delivered and set up at your chosen venue. We cover all of Dorset and Hampshire and happily further at discretion. Lucie Loves To Bake was established nearly 3 years ago and is fully registered with East Dorset District Council with the maximum 5* Food Hygiene Rating. We hold up to date food hygiene and allergen awareness certificates plus public liability insurance.

What is your most memorable wedding?
One of the nicest weddings I have set up at was a total handmade wedding in a country barn. The decoration was so beautiful with attention to detail everywhere. The very creative bride handmade vintage material napkins, seats painted in pastel colours and covered in vintage material, tables made from cable spools and all her own table decorations and flowers. So much love had been put into this wedding to make it so perfect and it was totally breath taking inside and beautiful.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I am 100% self taught and incredibly passionate so every skill has been taught via hard work and dedication
What is your signature cake?
My delicious chocolate cake I have so many repeat customers due to it being so rich and moist. I have even had a few grooms come back for thirds at wedding fairs! The recipe is a bit of a secret but baking with melted chocolate, mixture of sugars and cream in the cake batter makes it amazing...no dry cocoa sponge in sight! Best filled with milk chocolate butter cream or whipped milk chocolate ganache.
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
I discovered my true love for baking and sugar craft whilst recovering from a illness a few years ago. I started baking for family and friends and my skills developed and Lucie Loves To Bake was born.
