What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't leave it too late to book your wedding cake maker, dates become booked very quickly. If you are considering commissioning Pretty Amazing Cakes to to make your wedding cake we take a limited number of bookings per month to give every cake the attention to detail it deserves.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Country garden flowers provided and arranged by the bride and her mother, added a simple but stunning personal touch.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The first step is arranging a free, no-obligation consultation at a time to suit the couple, this takes place at my home studio in Bishopston, Bristol. You will be served a selection my most popular flavours all freshly baked and prepared especially for you. We will discuss your wedding style and theme and talk through various cake design options. I will take into account your preferences and work on a number of different variations. The process takes around an hour and will be followed up with an emailed quotation.
What is your signature cake?
Lots of pretty sugar flowers and hand-piped vintage lace designs on a tall, elegant cake.
What is the most original creation you have baked for a wedding?
Strawberries and cream with rosewater extract for an Asian Wedding
Describe how you got into making wedding cakes.
A love or art and design and creating pretty things, together with my enjoyment of baking and hand-crafting sugar flowers, lead me to start my wedding cake business.
