What is your most memorable wedding?
A new years eve surprise wedding! It was an intimate affair in a private house, we no expense spared. We used only English wines to pair with their family feasting menu and all in candlelit. It was one of our best.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Foodies, ingredient lead, stylish, flexible, about you
What about your business are you most proud of?
We take a bespoke approach to every client that we speak with and invest time in finding out what will really make their day special.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Plan ahead. Little touches take time. Most of all don't let it overwhelm you, lean on the professionals you trust.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We always love to see escort cards being used, its a extra detail that can add to the overall style.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Each enquiry starts with a long phone call with lots and lots of questions. We invest this time from the beginning because we want to build our understanding of each other from the beginning. We would prepare an initial quotation, discuss this and likely tweak at this stage. We then meet on site or for a coffee to chat through all the details. Once clients are happy they want to work with us we do a little paperwork (Confirmation and deposit). We book in a tasting, where appropriate, for the couple so we can talk more about menus and options. On the day your original point of contact will oversee the day, liasing with the floor staff and the venue to make sure everything is just as you discussed.
How would you wow the Judges on Masterchef?
By choosing really great ingredients and preparing them to do them justice. We often spend months sourcing the right supplier; its important to us that things not only taste great but that we have considered the welfare of the ingredient too.
What is the most innovative dish you have created for a wedding?
We love taking a ingredient and running wild with it. Rhubarb is a popular one for us, its full of flavour and colour. The dishes prepares rhubarb in 7 ways and teams it with its childhood favourite, custard!
What is the food of love?
Anything you can share! Getting interactive with your food is a great way to have fun. Laughter has to be at the heart of love.
