Ginger Snap was founded in 2006 by Tania Dixon. She has been in the catering industry since 2000 and has a passion for delicious and beautiful food. Since then, the company has grown to take on two further event managers and two award winning full time chefs Allan Devlin and Jonathan Melville, who are constantly coming up with innovative and creative menu ideas and flavour combinations. We are a young and dynamic team using only the highest quality locally sourced ingredients, offering stunning canapés and designing menus to meet each client's specific desires for the perfect wedding. At Ginger Snap, we pride ourselves in providing the complete service, covering every detail from the way the napkins are tied to having helpful staff ready to welcome your guests with a perfectly chilled glass of champagne. Words do not adequately convey ….. but here goes!
Words do not adequately convey ….. but here goes! We wanted to ask you to help with the wedding for two main reasons: 1. You are one of Scotland’s most acclaimed top caterers – and with considerable admiration we have watched proudly as you have grown from fledgling days; with your cooking ability, your organisational skills, your employee management and importantly, your business skills. 2. Your innate style and sure confidence allowed me to just KNOW that you would manage so much on my behalf, allowing me to stand back and deal with all the different elements that needed to be drawn together. Once the day arrived, so much of the responsibility was in your hands and I know this may weigh heavily, and certainly the entrance seating plan system was a spot too ambitious! I simply apologise on behalf of that team! The accolades pour in! MANY of the letters are saying that the main course was the most delicious they had EVER had. One guest was THRILLED to be given the ‘deep fried haggis balls’ he had requested and I am bored of hearing about the amazing sausages which I never set eyes on so they must have been eaten by the gannets at the doorways! I am MOST ashamed to say that I did not adequately speak to your team during the evening and especially not to Alex who remained until the end. Please pass on my heartfelt thanks for their quiet and professional efficiency to the point that they were clearly seen but not heard and just always on the spot.

So many of our guests were raving about the food
Both Andrew and l want to say a huge thank you to you and the whole Gingersnap team for everything that you did to make our wedding so special and memorable. Right from the get go, you have been fantastic and you have always made us feel that nothing is too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing on Saturday. After our tasting we were both so looking forward to our wedding meal and it was indeed a real highlight of our day. So many of our guests were raving about the food and said that it was the best wedding meal they have ever had, some of them even managed to have two desserts and were quite pleased with themselves! Your waiting staff were so helpful, polite and professional and made everything run incredibly smoothly. We are both delighted with and blown away by the service that you provided – we will be recommending you to anyone who is getting married soon and if we ever have a big party again we’d definitely be booking you guys.
