Be the first one to tell everyone about the experience you’ve had with this supplier.
Occasional Favours was established in 2000, selling Italian-style almond favours (called bomboniere or confetti) for Weddings, Christenings, First Communions, Confirmations and Anniversaries. In fact, any type of celebration! Favours are traditionally given as a keepsake for guests to remember your special occasion.
All our favours are hand-crafted with great attention paid to the smallest detail from a wide range of nets, boxes, flowers and accessories. All our confectionery is imported from Italy, ensuring the very highest quality. We supply a varied range of stunning designs on our website, and we also operate a bespoke design service to allow you to develop your own ideas with us. Do not hesitate to ask if you would like a particular flower or ribbon colour which is not featured on the website, as we may still be able to source this for you.
Our range of unique designs are created to complement your unique occasion, and we continually review our collection to ensure we reflect the very latest trends and fashions. Each favour consists of five sugar coated almonds as standard (although sugar coated chocolate dragees are an acceptable alternative) wrapped in tulles, lace or boxed, but we also offer a variety of wrapped chocolates too.
Our prices start at just 85p per favour and we offer both national and international delivery, with the exception of Canada and the U.S.

What is your most memorable wedding?
A very lovely couple wanted to put our nets in some glass candle holders which they had bought, and then put them in ribboned display boxes. They liked my designs so much, they travelled from Cambridge to Surrey to deliver the candle holders and then to collect the finished product. Needless to say, the end result was stunning!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Pretty, luxurious, stylish, affordable, quality.
What about your business are you most proud of?
The designs are my own ideas. I use the materials available to me for inspiration, rather than other people's work! As I have been making bomboniere for 16 years, there is a great sense of achievement when I get returning customers; I have made their wedding bomboniere and this has led to christenings, First Communions, Confirmations.......
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Try not to leave ordering your favours to the last minute!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Mostly my brides-to-be (and on a few occasions, the groom-to-be) just place an order for one of the designs they see on our website. These are then hand-made to order and dispatched within 4 weeks of payment. Other brides have certain requirements and then we discuss creating a bespoke wedding favour, either by email or by phone.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Pastels are definitely in! Vintage lace is also becoming more popular with both nets and boxes.
What is your signature finishing touch?
Our bomboniere are packed with great care to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, ready for you to hand out to your guests.
