What is your most memorable wedding?
We recently styled a beautiful 'Scottish Highlands' themed Tipi wedding in Leicesterhsire, where we worked closely with the bride to design a totally bespoke and original styling plan.
We incorporated elements of her family heritage as this was really important to her and was the basis for the development of the styling theme. Together we then chose a variety of native Scottish animals such as the highland cow, the pheasant and the stag and used these as a starting point for the individual table centrepieces. Along with a base of flat moss, we added brass candlesticks, tea light holders, woodland floral arrangements, pinecones and brass animals and created miniature Highland scenes. We also added subtle hints of blue tartan ribbon throughout.
From the roof poles of the Tipi we hung sprays of woodland foliage, ferns and trailing ivy along with glass tea light baubles filled with moss and candles to complement the fairy lights provided by the tipi company Sami Tipi.
We worked so closely with the bride and groom on this wedding that they invited us to celebrate their arrival at the tipi with them with a glass of champagne. The mother of the bride then took us round and introduced us to all of their guests.
It was a wonderful wedding!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't leave the decorations until last. Start planning early!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
One wedding we styled the couple asked for a display of old family wedding photos. We laid these out on a base of vintage wooden crates and added bunting & decorations. The guests absolutely loved it - especially those whose photos were included!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
During the planning stage it is important that each couple works alongside us and shares their ideas freely. We prefer to get together for a casual cup of tea and begin the planning by starting to jot a few ideas down on paper. Between us we will decide on the theme, the colour palette and start to write a list of essential decorative items that you would like to be included in your unique styling. We will start a 'secret board' on Pinterest for you which will you will be able to add new ideas to as you see them. This secret board will be the basis from which we will plan the design for your day. We promise to keep you informed during the whole process by sharing our development photographs with you via text or email as this will allow us to discuss any adjustments that may or may not need to be made.
