What is your most memorable wedding?
Co-founders James and Alice were married in September 2014 in beautiful Dorset - as you can imagine there were a lot of candles and all our guests went home with bespoke favours so they could remember the day - not one was left on the tables!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Contemporary, Fun, Luxury, Eclectic, British
What about your business are you most proud of?
It's a family run business that we started from scratch, to see it grow every day is incredible.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Focus on the details from an early stage to make the process as simple as possible - it will creep up on you!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Has to be scent! It's so evocative and when couples take it seriously and engage in the process of creating a beautiful, bespoke scent for their day it is an incredibly rewarding experience.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We go through favourite fragrances, inspirational perfumes, places, memories, things they would like to capture in their scent and use that as a starting point. We will then develop some ideas for them to try out before editing these, tweaking them until we have a perfect scent that encapsulates everything they want and translate it into candles, reed diffusers, room sprays, etc. Designing the products and packaging with the couple is also a great experience for them and we get to learn so much about them as well. Many clients have since become great friends.
What is the best themed wedding you have worked at?
We get to do what we love every day and it's always different.
What are the decorative trends with brides currently?
Make sure you take some time out for yourself in the days leading up to the wedding.
What is your signature finishing touch?
Light a candle! Honestly, light lots of candles as you are getting ready in the morning, they will bring a sweet sense of calm, however hectic the house!
What decoration do you think every wedding needs?
Don't rush, enjoy the day, it's going to quickly but make sure you and your husband take the time to spend some time together just the two of you. Go for a twenty minute walk together, go and sit somewhere you can see all your guests enjoying themselves but where they cannot see you!
