Susie Grist Couture is here to help design and make you the perfect wedding gown. You will be part of the design process so it will reflect you and your personality. It will be made especially for you as a one off so no-one will ever have the same dress. It doesn't matter what shape or size you are the dress will be made to fit and flatter you perfectly so you will feel confident and look amazing for your big day. Susie Grist Couture is located in Abingdon near Oxford. Her bespoke designer wedding gowns are loving hand crafted from luxurious fabrics such as silk dupion, duchess satin, delicate chiffon, organza and fine lace and exquisitely hand finished with lace or bespoke beadwork. There are several stages to designing and making a bespoke gown. It takes an average of 150 – 200 hours to complete this process and ideally should start anything from 6 – 18 months ahead of your wedding. The process starts with a free 1 hour, no obligation, consultation to talk about your special occasion and come up with a design. Then a trial garment is made for fittings before the real dress is cut and made from your chosen fabric. It is a very exciting process watching your dress come to life and the beauty of it is if something is not quite right it can be changed. For all you Mother's that are not sure what to wear then maybe I can help create an amazing outfit so that you too can feel confident and know that no-one else will have the same outfit. I can also help with bridesmaids dresses, flower girls and even waistcoats and ties for the men.

What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?
If you are a traditional bride have a blue bow sewn into the dress. A slightly more brave option is if your dress has a net petticoat have blue satin binding sewn to the edge. If you are really brave enough then have the dress made from blue fabric with an ivory lace overlay or ivory fabric with a blue lace overlay.
What is your favourite wedding dress of all time?
Other than mine and my Mum's. It would have to be Princess Margaret's
