- Welcome to The Bridal Lounge; a designer boutique in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. We offer the most exquisite collection of gowns and accessories in a very relaxed, enjoyable and luxurious environment. It is our desire to give you the best bridal experience for your entire journey, from initial thoughts to the wedding day of your dreams. Our experienced and knowledgeable seamstresses provide a comprehensive alteration service and they will work closely with you to achieve a beautifully fitted wedding gown. This service is, at all times, overseen by your personal stylist. In our stylish bridal boutique, we have created private and welcoming spaces for our brides-to-be, bridesmaids, family and guests. You will be surrounded by inspiration, as we offer a range of bespoke accessories, tiaras, veils and jewellery. You will be allocated a professional bridal stylist for a one-to-one personal service, who will advise you on all aspects of creating your dream look. We work to appointment only, so you will not be interrupted and usually, your first visit would be for 2 hours which would be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the experience. Most brides-to-be start planning their wedding “look” well in advance of actually visiting a boutique, Pinterest and Instagram are great sources of inspiration, so please bring your photos and ideas with you to show us during your initial appointment. However, please be open-minded as it’s not uncommon for a bride-to-be to fall in love with a gown that is completely different to what she first fell in love with. Consider ‘carefully’ who to bring with you. You need emotional support and friends who understand that this is your day. Keep your entourage to a minimum – too many voices can drown out the bride-to-be. The bride always comes first!

Describe your typical process with a couple.
Its super important to help brides to relax, the more relaxed they are the more they will enjoy the process of shopping for their dream gown. We start by chatting about their expectations, how they want to feel on their day. Do they have any issues or concerns which would stop them having what they want. We establish the format of the day and how it will play out. Then we move on to styling discussions and start to select gowns to try. We are at all times supporting the bride and so we coach the people whom are there on the appointment with her how to help her with her decision. We try and bond while dressing the bride s this is one to one time, here we can see in her eyes if we have the "one" or not and if we do we are there to share the utter joy!
What do you love most about your job?
building the relationship with the bride and her family- you really are an integral part of the day!
What is your favourite style of wedding dress?
Ball gown - the bigger the better!
What is the best way to incorporate "Something Blue" into the wedding outfit?
All the hoops we sell or hire have a little blue ribbon attached already so its one less thing for the bride to think about. The best alternative is I DO written in blue ink or with blue crystals on the soles of the brides shoes.
What is your favourite wedding dress of all time?
I loved the satin gown Kate Middleton wore for the evening celebrations of her wedding. It was quite retro and such a wonderful change from lace.
