What is your most memorable wedding?

I once performed on a bus that was taking the guests from the church to the reception venue. The route was along many winding Devon roads which meant that I had to try and perform magic while trying to walk up and down the aisle of a bus that was veering from side to side! It created a whole new meaning to the term 'strolling magician' - I felt more like a 'staggering magician'!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, memorable, sensitive, obliging, flexible

What about your business are you most proud of?

The fact that I have been able to successfully bring so much fun and amazement to so many different weddings - it's a real privilege to be invited to take part in such important, personal events.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

In terms of entertainment I would urge couples to think carefully about what the day is going to be like from the guests' perspective and not just from their own. The bride and groom are usually very busy all day, but there can be times when relatively lengthy delays become part of the day, and it pays to try and avoid these if at all possible.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

At one wedding I worked at, not only did the couple have me performing magic at the tables during the meal but they also employed a couple of singers who performed short sets in between each course of the meal while walking amongst the tables.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

On receiving an enquiry I will prepare a special personal quote for the couple which helps them to understand how the strolling magic can help their particular day. Once any questions have been answered it's a quick and simple process to confirm the booking. No deposit is required either.

What is your No. 1 top tip for keeping a crowd entertained?

Weddings consist of people of all ages, from young children up to the grandparents, so I think it is really important to provide entertainment that will be enjoyed and appreciated by everyone, no matter which end of the age spectrum they come from. Happily, magic is perfect for this as it is not 'age-ist' in any way.

Where is the most memorable place you have performed?

I have worked at so many venues right the way across the South West that I couldn't possibly pick one as they are almost all perfect in their own way.

Have you had any interesting surprises at a wedding?

I arrived at one wedding to entertain after the wedding breakfast meal to discover that while the guests were there, sitting around and chilling out, the bride and groom had disappeared completely! The photographer had decided he wanted to get some shots of the happy couple with the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the background and so he had driven the bride and groom away from the reception venue in order to relocate to somewhere where he could get the appropriate pictures. So I entertained all the guests and I was just leaving as the bride and groom arrived back!

What is your party trick?

That would be telling :-)
