Full Description
A Yorkshire based floral designer and flower grower I bring you the charm of the British garden and woodland. My favourite arrangements include roses, peonies or dahlias, depending on the season, and I love to include trailing foliage such as ivy, jasmine, clematis, honeysuckle or passionflower. I grow many of the flowers myself and source most of the rest from other local flower growers. I grow without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers in a wildlife friendly manner. I love working in old venues that have period features and have special training in decorating in listed buildings. As I only do one wedding on any given day (or week if it is a big wedding), I have a minimum spend of £300. During the peak season (May-August), this increases to £500. I cover an area which includes Skipton, Ilkley, Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford, York and parts of the Yorkshire Dales in the counties of North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, East Riding of Yorkshire and East Lancashire. If in doubt about whether I cover your area, please drop me a line or give me a call!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, flowing, garden, woodland, romantic

Using ethically grown British flowers and creating beautiful floral designs

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Choose suppliers that "get" you and whose style you love.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Including a grandmother's favourite flower in the bouquet because she meant so much but can't be there.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Once I have checked if your date is available, I will discuss your ideas and requirements either via email or at a meeting. I will then give you an initial quote. If you wish to proceed, you will reserve your date by paying a £50 save-the-date-fee. This is non-refundable but will be deducted from your final balance. It is best to contact me early, as dates during the peak wedding season are filling up fast!

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Artichokes and green plums

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

The garden rose represents love and if you chose the right variety, smells divine.

The garden rose again!

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

Taking your venue flowers to a nursing home is a lovely touch.
