A beautiful wedding set in the new forest in the autumn, using orange calla lilies and blue thistles as the groom was Scottish. The calla lilies really dazzled in the sun and looked stunning in the wedding photos.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I would recommend Picking your venue first before deciding on your colour scheme. It's better to match the theme and colour of your flowers to your venue to enhance the venue and its surroundings and tie it all together.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I loved the wedding favours at one particular wedding, they were a small jar of honey with a wooden honey drizzler, as the wedding was at a venue called honeybrook farm.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Usually a customer contacts me by email or messenger and before the couple comes to see me ,I ask them a few questions such as what is their colour scheme, wedding date and where their venue is if they have booked one already . I then check I have their date available and based on this information, I will put together a selection of images of floral arrangements and venue decorarion ideas based on what I think the couple will like and will suit their venue. The couple can then book a consultation with me either at mine or at their home if preferred and we can run through the ideas and pictures until we find something the couple like.
Once the couple have made their choices I will email them a quote and if they are happy to go ahead with the flowers I take a £50 deposit and book their wedding date into the diary.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Silk yellow butterflies for a ladies birthday bouquet .
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
There are many flowers that have different meanings , such as roses for example yellow roses symbolise joy, hope and cheerfulness. However certain flowers have special meanings to certain couples and would be nice to have those flowers in their bouquet. I particularly love softly scented flowers such as freesias.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
I think peonies have a beautiful, romantic elegance about them and can look bold and dramatic or soft and graceful depending on which colour you choose.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
You may want to keep your wedding bouquet , you can either dry it out or press it and display it in a picture frame or in a album.
