Full Description
I have been providing wedding flowers to Brides for over twenty years, I love weddings each one has been and is different. I work with you to create the flowers that you want, I offer advise (if needed) but it's mainly your ideas and vision that give you the flowers that you ultimately want. I grow a lot of my own flowers, herbs and foliages that are used in arrangements but can also source other flowers, I offer advise on what is available at the time of your wedding. I can provide bouquets, headdresses, buttonholes and corsages for the bridal party. Pedestals, garlands, pew ends, ledge decorations, fresh petal confetti for the church. Table decorations, flower globes, floral hearts, garlands etc for the venue, the floral list is endless ! DIY Wedding flowers - I run workshops for those who would like to to arrange their own flowers. I teach you how to make a hand tied bouquet, buttonhole and a table centre piece. I offer you advise on sourcing, cutting and conditioning flowers. How many stems you will need per arrangement along with how to plan the time to create the arrangements that you will need. Or I can just provide you with the flowers by the bucket if you have the know how. I work on my own with you from start to finish, so you meet with me to discuss your ideas and it will be me that will create your quotation. It will be me who will deliver your flowers and set up the church. I will be the one whizzing the flowers out of the church to decorate the venue and to fiddle around with the flowers until they are perfect for you.

Simply amazing
We had the absolute pleasure of having Francesca as our florist for our wedding at Millbridge Court Farnham and what an amazing job she did! The flowers were simply beautiful and Fran managed to recreate the exact vision we had for the day- relaxed, soft and romantic- the floral arrangements, and colours. were simply perfect and we had countless compliments on the flowers from guests and the venue alike. And this is coming from a particularly picky bride (!)- I was completely blown away by Francesca’s work. Not only is Francesca undoubtedly skilled when it comes to selecting and arranging, she’s also a joy a work with. Calm and professional at all times, she went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day looked picture perfect. We’d whole heartedly recommend Francesca for any wedding or event you have planned.

FAQ

What is your most memorable wedding?

I had to wrap the stems of one of my Brides bouquets with lace from her grandmothers Wedding dress as part of the "old" bit of the saying.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

They have all been memorable in one way or another, but there was one summer one that still stands out. It was set at a beautiful barn, not easy to find and not a commercial wedding factory like so many venues are now, it was really quite magical traveling down winding country lanes to this treasure nestled in a stunning valley.

What about your business are you most proud of?

At one of my weddings the Bridegroom was a tree surgeon. The bride and groom used heaps of trailing ivy to decorate the marquee and then strung fairy lights through it. They also had a tree in the marquee which they decorated with lanterns and heart decorations. A true joint effort.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

I have always sourced seasonal foliage and wild flowers to use in my arrangements even before it became as trendy as it is today. I grow a lot of my own flowers, herbs and foliage which I think makes it so much more personal.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I think roses are always associated with love. Stephanotis was originally used in wedding bouquets, but not so often now, in flower language it means happiness in marriage.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I arrange to meet and at the meeting I listen to the brides ideas and based on colour schemes/themes/venue we then work out what is required and come up with some styles for arrangements. Mindful of budget I then come up with a quotation for all of the flowers that we discussed along with any other suggestions. Once the quotation has been agreed we would meet at the venue if we hadn't met there before to run through all the arrangements and to see how they would work in decorating the venue or church.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Maximise on your flowers. Church flowers could be used to decorate the venue after or visa versa, most florists should be happy to wait through the ceremony and then move flowers for you back to the reception venue. Bridesmaids bouquets could be used to decorate the top table.

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Natural, rustic, seasonal, handpicked, personal

What is the most romantic flower and why?

Share them with friends and family. Dry out bridal bouquets, depending on the flower varieties in them, roses dry out easily if hung upside down in a warm dry place.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

A peony, their petals are so soft and ruffled with a gentle sweet scent - pure English summer beauty.
