Queen of the Meadow Full Description
Evocative, organic and natural flower design using British grown artisan flowers. I design timeless and beautiful flowers for weddings in a variety of venues and settings, from homes and marquees to churches, country houses and restaurants. I cover South Wales and the South of England, I love to travel if the brief is right. I create thoughtful and untamed floral design for weddings and events. My work is seasonal and sustainable, I use traditional methods of floristry and I never use floral foam. My wedding flowers have been seen in Vogue and Bride Magazine. My artisan flowers are grown by local growers and will include some from my own cutting garden which creates something very unique! I like to use British flowers in Spring, Summer and Autumn and I source the best from flower markets in Winter. I like to use traditional methods of flower arranging, I do not use any floral foam. I always meet with each couple to find out more about them and their perfect wedding flowers. My studio is based in rural Neath on a working farm, where my cutting garden can be found along with an abundance of wild flora and foliage which I like to include in my work.

Brought the most beautiful vision to life!
Kirsten’s flowers were absolutely incredible, she listened to everything we had in mind and somehow made it 100x better - we had so many compliments and the guests all stole the extra florals to take home at the end of the night!

Would Always Reccommend!
Kirsten did our flowers for our wedding. Flowers were a very important part of our day for me. I wanted flowers to look a natural as possible and include British wildflowers. kirsten worked with me since I booked to ensure everything was how I wanted. on our wedding day the flowers looked even better than I could have hoped. they were perfect. from doing meadow flowers down the aisle , to using meadow boxes on tables and creating the absolute best bouquets.

Honestly, can’t recommend highly enough, really easy clear communication, Kirsten delivered exactly what we were after, with an amazing level of detail and care. Flowers were one of the highlights of the day and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The flowers were absolutely splendid
Kirsten was a dream to work with for our fusion Indian/British wedding - we had beautiful bouquets, buttonholes and also two gorgeous garlands for a Hindu ceremony. She also did bud vases for the tables and alcove decorations which looked fantastic and worked beautifully at Tall John's House. Communication was excellent throughout the process; we didn't give her much of a brief beyond 'bright pastel colours', she created a fab mood board with ideas of how it would all look on the day.

A True Magic Maker
A true magic maker! Kirsten created the most beautiful wildflower displays for our wedding. We had no idea what to expect as we just trusted her from the off to use in-season florals, and we were so right todo so. Bouquets, meadow boxes and incredible hoops - they truly were more stunning than we ever could've dreamt for. 😍 Thank you for your patience, clarity and pure talent xxx

I can't recommend her highly enough!
Kirsten created the most beautiful flower arrangements, bouquets and buttonholes for our recent wedding. We told her that we wanted loose, colourful wildflowers and then had the confidence to just leave her work her magic. Kirsten understood what we wanted from the very first meeting we had and the mood boards she put together for us left us with no doubt that she would create the most beautiful arrangements for us. Kirsten was knowledge, friendly and the communication was excellent.

Frequently Asked Questions
(9)

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, romantic, winsome, contemporary and beautiful.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Starting my own business! Also meeting so many lovely people through my work.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Be as organised as possible, write everything down and keep notes as there is so much to remember!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Saving all the petals from bouquets family and friends had given the bride when she got engaged and then turning them into her wedding confetti.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I love to meet with the couple to talk about flowers and the venue. I like to make the flowers as personal as possible so its great to know a little more about the couple's style and how they want their wedding to look.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Fresh herbs as they smell divine!

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Rosemary in a bouquet symbolises remembrance, so if there is a loved one missing at the wedding then this is a lovely sentiment.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

Roses! They are a cliché but they smell and look so pretty.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

I would recommend preserving the bouquet. There are always so many left over flowers so its a nice touch to give these away to guests or family. Perhaps donating some to a care home or a deserving charity would be lovely.
