The flowers were amazing!
Dear Lucy, thank you so much for your amazing flowers at our wedding! They were way beyond anything that we could of imagined. We had some many comments from our guests and the floral arch is still a talking point now! Thanks again, Sarah and Matt

What is your most memorable wedding?

They are all memorable in their own special way!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Elegant, romantic, timeless, refined, natural.

What about your business are you most proud of?

Every time I finish a wedding and produce floral installations that give the ‘wow’ factor, way beyond the bride and grooms expectations.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Relax and enjoy the whole process!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Our first meeting marks the beginning of a collaborative, creative process. We’ll listen as you share your vision, ask plenty of questions, and offer expert advice. Together, we’ll unravel your ideas and design something truly spectacular. Based on what we’ve discussed, you’ll receive a personalised proposal that includes a detailed design brief, your chosen colour palette, a range of flower suggestions and a full breakdown of the costs involved. At this stage, nothing is set in stone. Once your booking has been confirmed, the design process will continue, and we’ll focus on transforming your vision into an incredible reality. Slowly but surely the magic begins, and everything comes to life. We remain in regular contact throughout the planning process and will gladly answer any question as they arise. Six weeks before the wedding, we’ll arrange a final consultation and venue visit. After assessing the space, we’ll make any necessary adjustments to the design before confirming your plans and devising a detailed schedule. Raven & Ryegrass will liaise directly with your venue and/or wedding planner regarding delivery, set-up and installation. Working with a small, trusted team of experienced florists, Lucy remains the lead designer on every project. When your wedding day arrives, she’ll be on site to manage every detail, ensuring efficiency and discreet professionalism throughout. Lucy will also personally deliver your bouquets and buttonholes. Seeing people react to the magic of their wedding flowers is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

I love putting in herbs... they give a special scent to a bouquet.

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

If there is any particular foliage, herb or flower that has particular special memories for your family, we can always work this into the bridal bouquet.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

The garden rose! It’s ‘blousy’, timeless beauty really gives that whimsical, romantic feel. Plus the scents can be absolutely amazing!

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

You could give them out to your close family and guests. Who doesn’t like receiving flowers!
