What is your most memorable wedding?
I guess that would be a wedding where we created centrepieces inside various drums and brass instruments- the couple met in a brass band!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, personal, seasonal, fresh, quirky.
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm proud of knowing that I've made people smile by creating beautiful flowers.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be sure that your wedding is what you want, not somebody else... Though their intentions may be good, it's a day that is about you and the love of your life and should happen how you want it to.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
There was one wedding where the brides grandmother passed away shortly before the wedding day, the couple still had her corsage made and her seat was still there at the ceremony and the wedding breakfast, with her corsage sat on it. It touched us when we were setting up the venue flowers and we still remember it years later.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
The typical process... We meet/skype for an initial consultation, following which we create a moodboard and a quote. If this is okay with you you then put down a small "Save the Date" payment and then the process is lead entirely by you- you can have as many meetings/phone calls and emails as you need. Two weeks before the wedding we have a final meeting/call to double check through everything when final payment is then due. We set up on the morning of your wedding (or the night before in venues which specify this!) and then deliver your personal flowers to you generally two hours before your ceremony time.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
I will always ask if there is anything specific that means something to you.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Enjoy your bouquet- get it home and get it in water!
