What is your most memorable wedding?
To date, it must be the Boho wedding where the ceremony was held outside under trees and the recetion under teepees - see our blog at http://www.thegardenroomflowers.co.uk/news/article/fiona-and-giles-beautiful-boho-wedding---september-2017.html
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
romantic, timeless, relaxed, elegant,
What about your business are you most proud of?
When you book The Garden Room, you get your very own wedding planner. We not only design your bouquets and flower arrangements but we also suggest and can provide all the other decorations and accessories that you might need to complete your dream wedding. All is covered in a detailed Wedding Plan which you can add to or adjust in the months leading up to your big day.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't pick a supplier based on price as you will not be comparing like for like. If the supplier knows their business well, they will be able to suggest ways of meeting your budget requirements such as substituting alternative flowers for your centrepieces.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Biscuits which have the initials of the guest placed on the table setting
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It is useful to fist speak on the phone as we can clarify your basic requirements following which we can put forwad a price guide. Later, we can meet for a free no obligation consultation where we can go through the detail, match your requirements to your budget and firm up on some prices. When you are ready to go further with us, we ask for a £100 deposit to secure the date in our diary and a full detailed Estimate and Wedding Plan will follow which can be changed at any stage during the months leading up to your wedding.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
I often add a flower or piece of foliage that means something to the bride. I have added Rosemary for remembrance and Myrtle for love and marriage
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
The Myrtle plant is a symbol of love and is the Hebrew symbol for marriage - we often include a sprig in the brides bouquet
What is the most romantic flower and why?
To me it is the peony because of its large, luxurious tafetta like shape
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
I think its lovely to press some of the flowers from the bride's bouquet. I always provide cellophane to wrap the table flowers in for the bride to give away as gifts. Alternatively, I make sure all the arrangements are provided in bowls or dishes that can easily be removed for giving away.
Bridebook GiftTwo complimentary Thank you Bouquets worth £60 when you order seven table centrepieces and brides/ bridesmaids bouquets from us.
