She did an amazing job.....
We just had our wedding last month and Emma was our wedding florist. She did such an amazing job and made the register office look so magical on our special day. Not only Emma uses local, seasonal flowers wherever possible, she also composts any waste flowers to help the environment. I would recommend her to anyone I know. Love, T and Bao xx

Emma did the most amazing job...
Emma did the most amazing job with the flowers for our wedding. She took my (rather vague) ideas and turned them in to something more beautiful than I could have imagined. And she was an absolute joy to work with - always calm, nothing was a problem or a stress, and she made even my maddest ideas (indoor trees anyone) a reality. I can honestly say booking her was one of the best wedding planning decisions I made, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. If I could give her 6 stars, I would.

The flowers were beautiful......
Emma provided the flowers for my wedding, both DIY flower buckets for us to arrange ourselves and bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids. All the flowers were beautiful and played a big part in providing the look we wanted for our big day. She also provided a great service beforehand, helping us to work out what we needed. Very much recommended!

Tindy & Kitty 13th October 2018 York House, Richmond From the exquisite boutonnieres to the bouquet to the arch, to the fireplaces, to the chairs and to the magnificent breakfast-room, your work was stunning and admired and commented upon by all and sundry. What a triumph. The architecture of it all - the natural beauty - I cannot tell you how happy we were. Emma Thompson York House October 2018

Her work was impeccable.....
We hired Emma for our wedding, a month before the date and on a short budget... but even with those constraints, her work was impeccable! The flowers were gorgeous, fresh and beautiful colours, and my bouquet was perfect!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

A winter wedding that took place on one of the worst weather days I can remember, ever! A foot of snow fell in 30 minutes and continued for two days. We made it to set up at the venue but some of the guests didn't. The wedding however was fantastic and the flowers were fit for a hollywood set!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Wild, Romantic, Natural, Unique & Stunning

What about your business are you most proud of?

I think the service we offer is second to none. We go the extra mile for all our clients, many of whom become friends and return customers.....if you have a problem to sort (even a non-flower related one) we do our best to help you sort it - we know lots of people in the industry!

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't leave it until the last minute....plan and take the stress away form everything and then you can enjoy your big day and the lead up to it.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

We dressed a beautiful Chuppah for one of our couples full of luck green flog. We left beautiful flower buckets filled with fresh flowers by the entrance to the ceremony room where guests took a flower each and dress the Chuppah with them...it was utterly beautiful and such a lovely way to involve your guests....

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We start with a chat usually so I can get a feel for their style and vision. I then go away and work mon a quote for them, coming up with ideas, setting up a pinterest board etc. Sometimes we meet at the venue to walk through ideas but the key thing is we are really flexible with the way we work and guide you every step of the way. Our couple feel confident that they are in god hands right from the off and we are always at the end of an email/phone for any questions they have.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

I think many many years ago I was asked to include brussle sprouts (it was so long ago I cant remember the story behind it!). The bouquet was so beautiful don't think anyone actually notice there were sprouts in there but the couple knew they were there and for whatever reason they wanted them we pulled it off! I did warn them it may smell if it got too hot!

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Rosemary is something we often include in Bouquets and Buttonholes which signifies remembrance. Often a social loved one cannot be there at on their special day so we include it as a reminder of that loved one...it's also a beautiful foliage to use so a really lovely touch.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

Ooh this is a hard one but I love peonies for their ever changing qualities, and stocks for their amazing scent and garden roses for all the above....if I had to pick one I would choose romantic Garden Roses!

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

Lots if flowers can be taken away by the guests (so Jam Jar flowers are a great one that easy for guests to take home) but here at Urban Flower Farmer nothing goes to waste. We work with a local business who provides flowers for people who cannot afford them so any one that are god enough go to them along with foliage. Anything we can't re-use we compost and that get back onto our growing beds to nourish the next growing season. If we have foliage we cannot compost we shred it and use it on our patch in the garden....nothign goes to waste tough!
