What is your most memorable wedding?
I can answer this better in two weeks ... currently in the final planning stages for my daughter's Pop-Up Wedding in a marquee with 80 day guests and 200 for the evening!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Fun, unique, quirky, responsive, professional
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our customer service, over the years we have received hundreds of post wedding 'thank you's but recently we have also received praise before the wedding arrives for our dedication at the planning stage.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't lose sight of the dream ... Remember why you are doing this, no prop or detail is more important than your love for each other.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A simple touch was a bride who had a piece of her childhood 'comfort blanket' sewn in to the lining of her dress for 'something old'. For pure glam, a fleet of vintage Bentleys to collect guests from the station the day before a 1920's themed Wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
An initial and informal meeting to get to know each other and find out all about your plans for your wedding, this could be at one of the venues or in your local coffee shop! We also have a detailed enquiry form on our website which helps to identify potential venues. Following the selection of a venue we arrange your marquee and caterer, then the menu tastings. Throughout the process we are there for you, we have a private facebook page where you can chat to other 'pop-up' couples and our suppliers, day and night. We have as much or as little input in to your day as you wish, venue and supplier co-ordination is free of charge but we can also help with styling and offer a full wedding planning service if that is what you need.
How do you create an ambiance in a marquee?
By taking your ideas and turning them in to reality, there are two key elements that create an impact, flowers and lighting, we work with experts in both fields to style your day in just the way you envisage.
Where is the most exciting place that you have put a marquee?
Easy one, in a wildflower meadow with 360 degree views of the Yorkshire Dales.
What is your record time for putting up your marquee?
Harder, we don't like to rush things, the ideal time scale is to start Tuesday for a Saturday Wedding, handing over to you by Thursday for dressing and Friday for finishing touches.
What is your favourite design of marquee and why?
We do love our traditional clear span marquee as it leaves plenty of space for tables and gives you a blank canvas to dress in your own style, it includes fitted flooring and carpet in your chosen colour so no heels in the grass! and no poles to get in the way of your table plans. Being modular it can be sized to be just right for your numner of guests and with flooring can be set up in a variety of spaces.
