Full Description
  • Reminiscent of the sounds of Duke Ellington, Al Bowlly and Charles Trenet, Benoit Viellefon & his Orchestra are one of the leading bands in the UK’s swing scene, playing the classic repertoire of the 1920s to the early 1950s. Catering for events of every description they are a band as versatile as they are talented and are available in a variety of line-ups and arrangements at the client’s discretion. Over the last year they have worked hard to source and arrange over 40 tunes and they put it to good use, playing swing, jive, French chanson, and much more for up to two and a half hours! In their latest formation, the band is a formidable 7 piece ensemble - drummer, double bassist, pianist, tenor saxophonist, clarinetist, trumpeter, all providing backing vocals, and fronted by Benoit on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. Add a host of fantastic dancers and you’ll have a spectacular show that will impress anyone. Consistently first choice at vintage festivals, high profile events across Europe, as well as boasting residencies in London’s most exclusive clubs and concert halls, their busy diary is testament to the public’s love for their music and the atmosphere they create. Most recently they have appeared on national television and radio, and have been hired by the likes of Rowan Atkinson, James Cordon, and Madonna for her birthday party. Over the last six years the band has played over 700 concerts in venues of all shapes and sizes to people of all walks of life. Wherever they play, they never falter in their endeavour to entertain their many audiences, especially those who revel in the nostalgia and elegance of a bygone era. Whether you a planning a Gatsby, Prohibition, Moulin Rouge or War Time party, Elegant Business event or a special Birthday or Wedding party, no such event is complete without the unrivalled entertainment of Benoit Viellefon & his Orchestra! They hope to hear from you soon!
