What is your most memorable wedding?

I did a wedding at Newton Hall, Northumberland on New Years Eve. The bride and groom had gone the extra mile with the budget and everything was just right. The first dance took everyone by surprise where they started on a cloud of dry ice to Clean Bandit - Rather Be to which they had made their own dance routine. The crowd loved it and towards the end they grabbed everyone onto the floor and the night just took off from their.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fresh, approachable, edgy, fun and professional

What about your business are you most proud of?

I started it off myself and have grown it into a very popular and competitive service which allows me to do what I enjoy full time.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Set a budget and be sensible about the longer impact of your spending. People often spend more on a cake that their entertainment but its the latter you remember the day for.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I just like it when you can see effort to be different. I'm not a fan of people just copying others.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We often meet or chat before the date to agree what we envisage during the event. Then we speak again on the night to ensure we are still happy with the plans and work together all the way to create a bespoke event with input from all parties.

What makes a romantic first dance?

Looking into the eyes of the man or woman you're going to spend the rest of your life with makes everything else melt away, just pick a mutually loved song that means something and take to the floor.

What is your number one floor-filler?

Uptown Funk - it is the number one, however I have lots more up my sleeve.

Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?

Jamiroquai from the early years, I love funk and jazz and music with an energy of its own. I love to sing but would love to play the sax if I could.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

Cheesy question but it would be the Stylistics, I can't give you anything but my love.
