We had dealings with the main man and we had discussed all of our preferences. We filled out a form stating what sort of music not to play, which I thought was a very good idea, told him the songs we did want to have and most importantly the first dance song. We questioned whether it would be possible to put two songs together for the first dance song, as we wanted to start with a tribute to somebody who couldn't be there then change the tempo, get our daughter involved and get a bit more upbeat to end. Everything was agreed and seemed to be no problem. We were told that the main man would not be doing the reception as he was away, so he got his main man and somewhere along the line our first dance preference was not passed on. We just had the first song playing through fully. For me, I was disappointed with this as through most of the dance I was wondering when it would change and tried to get the DJ's attention to change it. The disco on the whole was wonderful and he took requests and did a very good job, got lots of people on the dancefloor. I think there was just an unlucky lack of communication or misunderstanding, otherwise would have been 5 star without question
