Frequently Asked Questions

What is your most memorable wedding?

Outdoors, in a hotel garden, under an old oak tree. We danced till it was far to dare to dance!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Honest, Authentic, Innovative, Attentive and Customer-Oriented.

What about your business are you most proud of?

The way I have built a reputation for fun, inclusive social events.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Ask your suppliers for tips. What can they share with you that will save you time, money or heart ache as you plan for your big day. Use their experience.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

My ceilidh options for a first dance- especially when the couple getting married don't want to be the center of attention in that way.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We would have an initial consultation usually over Zoom/Skype to go through what they want for the evening. I have loads of ceilidh ninja suggestions for them and tips from my years of experience in the industry. I encourage them to read my reviews and testimonials. Then once booked, there are a number of touch points before the big day to check in on their planning process. I also hold public ceilidhs, have private Pinterest Boards and a variety of media to build up the anticipation.

What makes a romantic first dance?

One where the couple enjoy it. That might be one they have planned together or a ceilidh option involving all their guests.

What is your number one floor-filler?

Ceilidhs are that social, everyone joins in whether they are 4 or 84, they all dance together.

Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?

Definitely Runring. Great Scottish band.

What is the soundtrack to your life?

Definitely Bostons, More than a feeling.
