What is your most memorable wedding?
After my own... playing to a crowd of over 800 on an island in the middle of the Thames. Massive setup with a 2m glitter ball in the middle of the dance floor. Played until 6am!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
What about your business are you most proud of?
Fun, have been doing this since I was 18 because I love DJing and love entertaining.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Other than to book the Mobile Nightclub, comfy shoes so you can dance all night!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I often include a projector above the dancefloor if there is enough height in the room, team up with the photographer and add pictures from the day to run during the meal, or graphics and photos for the best man's speeches, works brilliantly!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Stress free. All paperwork is sent to client immediately on receipt of enquiry. Contracted for peace of mind. Date secured once contract & deposit received. Needs discussed over the phone, can arrange to meet at the venue. With over 900 events done within East Anglia there are very few venues that we haven't already played at. B&G plus guests can sign into my online request line or email me their requests, final list sent to the B&G for approval a few weeks before the event. On the day process varies with every gig, but typically arrive 2-3 hours before the start time to set up and sound check.
What makes a romantic first dance?
Etta James At last is still the most popular, but some alternatives over the years have been Ronan Keating, Aerosmith, Robbie Williams, even had Michael Buble - Just haven't Met You Yet at a recent wedding!
What is your number one floor-filler?
Changes from event to event... sometimes some Lady - Modjo, Shania Twain, different crowds will need a bit of Bon Jovi or Stone Roses. You can always tell once you meet the guests.
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Michael Jackson's HiStory...!
Bridebook GiftFree 'Wedding Add on': this covers early set up, wireless microphone for speeches and background music during the meal. For bookings over £300, for T&Cs visit www.mobile-nightclub.com.
