The Superlicks are a four-piece party band of highly charged musicians based in York. The band boast a powerful rhythm section supported by infectious bass riffs and energetic beats. This capped with a sensational lead guitarist and the captivating vocals from their charismatic front man are what have made them one of the most entertaining, dynamic and fun party bands in the UK. The Superlicks can be hired for wedding receptions, corporate events, charity balls, Festivals and any other private events and parties. The band is completely professional and from your first point of contact you will be aware that these guys know their business. When the guys arrive at the venue they are 100% professional and can have their production loaded and sound checked within two hours including a full lighting rig. Being well rehearsed in their trade ensures the sound check is usually completed within two songs. We are really proud to be doing something that the four of us really love, that brings happiness to the couples, friends and families that we play for.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Our number one tip to couples would be to remain calm, and trust that wedding suppliers have the experience to make your plans come true for your special day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We once had a groom join the band to sing, the Girls Aloud song "love Machine" to his bride. What made it extra fun was the new personalised lyrics that he added.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
From our initial contact we discuss the couples plans for the wedding, and aim to find out exactly what they want from the band in terms of their evening entertainment. Each couple is unique, we like to work with our clients to find the best way to provide the most entertainment as possible.
What is your number one floor-filler?
We have certain songs up our sleeves that always without fail go down a storm on the dance floor!
