What is your most memorable wedding?
The Zoots performed one of our first weddings in Caerphilly Castle (Cardiff) at a medieval banquet style wedding which was an amazing experience. We had to drive our van across the dreaded drawbridge.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Non stop dancing
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am proud that The Zoots have performed in so many awesome venues and that we continue to progress doing better venues every year.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book early and use suppliers with the most references.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We performed a wedding in Poland where the groom got up with the band and sang the first dance.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Most of our enquiries are initially dealt with via email and we often meet with the couple once the date and details have been agreed. As The Zoots is our full time job we are available on the phone and via email all day every day.
What makes a romantic first dance?
Thats my secret thanks! I'll let you know when/if I retire
What is your number one floor-filler?
The Alhambra theater is proably one of our favourites butThe Zoots have performed in so many different types of venues including Caves, Cruise ships, Castles, Football Stadiums, Festivals, Theatres, Ice Arenas, Racecourses, Golf clubs, Polo Clubs its so hard to choose. The Zoots performed at Oakley Court Hotel where they filmed Rocky Horror Picture show and the Dracula films.
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
We could write a book on this subject. A bride fainted at a recent wedding so we played our first set without a bride which was strange, luckily she recovered it for the second set. We had a winter wedding at Beaumont House in Windsor where the snow prevented 70% of the guests couldn't get to the venue. When we arrived the bride and groom were so grateful we'd made it through the snow filled roads, we were invited to the wedding breakfast and given our own table.
What is the soundtrack to your life?
The Zoots have loads of party tricks so you'll have to come to one our shows to experience them.
