Happy couple married in October
December 2022
Our wedding.
We loved the photos so much they where lovely! But the communication was pretty bad and I was gutted that she didn’t get a photo of the grooms reaction of me coming down the aisle when I put it on a list of photos I definitely wanted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Plan in advance! No matter if your looking at booking your wedding for 2 or 3 years time- you can never be too early to plan and get a budget in place!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I photographed a military wedding once, and so the groom was wearing his red, ceremonial uniform- the cake topper was made of modelling clay and matched his outfit!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Initial contact is usually over the phone or by email- then if the potential client would like to meet up, I will bring with me a selection of work from my portfolio for you to look at, and we can sit down and have a real chat about your big day, and what you would like from it. After the wedding day, I will provide the couple with their photographs via a password protected online gallery which allowed them to download their photographs and send to friends and family with ease. I am happy to wait to receive any further orders of prints, or album etc, there's no rush to have those things sorted out!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

It might not be the most creative, or "hang on the wall" worthy- but I think it's most important to have one with your parents/guardians. Because in years to come it could really be a very precious memory.

What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?

I photographed a couple at their vintage theme wedding and they had brought with them a fantastic old styled bicycle and they wanted photographs as though they were riding it. ( It was pouring down with rain but they were great sports and we had a lot of fun)

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Don't panic! We live in Wales! We are used to rain, and let's be honest there are much worse things that can happen. We can still get plenty of photographs, and if the forecast is particularly dismal, with little chance of us getting outside for portraits- I do have a contingency plan, portable studio that I can bring along, and take some photographs against a black backdrop with portable lighting, so don't fear the rain!

Describe how you got into photography.

I was always obsessed with photographs- when I was a child I was bought a small instant film camera- and photographed everything and anything, sticking the photos everywhere in the house (which was no doubt very annoying for my mum) I suspect my mother was overjoyed when I got a digital camera. I started shooting with my first SLR when I was in year 11 in high school, and from then ive been working with brides and grooms and loving every minute!
