Wight Bride Full Description
Based on the Isle of Wight, Wight Bride Photography captures stunning images of weddings and civil ceremonies across the UK and Europe. We are part of Isle of Wight Wedding Photography Ltd and members of three of the top professional photography associations in the UK, as well as one in the US. Supplying quality products from across the world, we aim to provide the highest level of service and commitment possible. We are honoured to be listed within features in both Tatler and Brides magazine, the UK's best selling bridal magazine. Starting as early as 7.00am, we will capture as much, or as little, of your day as you wish. Our usual method of working will see us blending into the background, capturing the natural moments and emotions that the day will bring. This allows your day to flow naturally, resulting in images that depict your day as it really was, not as a photographer wanted it to happen. Whether you have any posed images is entirely up to you, but if you would like some 'classic wedding' type images, we will keep these to a minimum so that guests do not get bored and can spend their time with you, not waiting around for us. Generally any posed images of guests will be done at the start of the reception, as once guests have eaten it is often harder to get them all together. Posed images of just the couple, will be done after the wedding breakfast, giving them time away from guests and a chance to just relax and breathe. Something many couples don't get a chance to do. Once we have finished, your images will be backed up so that we have a secure copy to work on. This copy is made the same day. We will then perform some standard editing on all your images before creating a secure online gallery, where you can view them. It is your choice who you allow to access your gallery. From the gallery, you can select your favourites if you are having an album and you and your guests can order additional p

Definitely a top contender for our wedding
Me and my fiancé had our Engagement photoshoot yesterday with Jon who made us feel really comfortable and relaxed as we were both feeling quite nervous to begin with. Looking forward to seeing the pictures and definitely a top contender for our wedding when the time comes around!

Frequently Asked Questions
(9)

What is your most memorable wedding?

Zoe and Sam, July 2015. We had planned for a fantastic post-wedding photoshoot at a local windmill. On the day itself it was raining when I woke and it continued to rain all day. The wedding car had to be changed due to the weather, the groom had ordered flowers for the bride which were delivered to the wrong address and the wedding car was reversed into the brides dads garden wall. But none of that ruined the day. Everybody enjoyed the day, the photos were fantastic and it showed that no matter how much planning you do, sometimes you just have to improvise.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Fun, modern, discreet, helpful, friendly

What about your business are you most proud of?

Being asked if we wanted to be listed in a feature on wedding services within Tatler magazine and then discovering that we were the only photographer in the feature.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Just enjoy it and don't get caught up in the detail.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

An ex-wife attending as a guest at a gay wedding. It just showed the understanding and caring side of both parties even though they were no longer together.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

We tend to discuss the day with the couple soon after they have booked, to give us an idea of what they are looking for. Nearer the day, we will look at the venue (either physically or virtually) and try to ascertain the best locations for photos. We will discuss these with the couple a few days before the wedding, when we confirm the days schedule. Everything is relaxed and informal, allowing us to get to know each other and to ensure that everybody knows what is required.

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

I don't have one. Every couple are different, as is every wedding.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas. We have a set of lovely ivory ones for the bride, groom and bridesmaids.

Describe how you got into photography.

Jonathan Sheath, our Director and main event photographer, grew up around photography. Having an older brother who was heavily into photography, he could often be found in the darkroom that had been created in a cupboard at their home. His passion was reignited when his daughter decided to take GCSE photography at school, and he spent many hours accompanying her on shoots. After attending a number of professional courses and workshops, he started the company and now specialises in offering reportage style photography combined with classic wedding portraiture.
