Digital Photographer Of The Year Runner Up
What is your most memorable wedding?
It has to be a couple i'd met at a wedding fair years ago. We got to talking and them telling me their story. We arranged to meet up for a coffee a few weeks later and indeed we met up and confirmed their day and for us to cover it. As they were on a budget we pushed our prices hard and came to an agreeable final price. On the day it was just amazing, to see two people who were just meant for each other finally make the vows and then enjoy their first evening as Husband and Wife. To be a part of that day with them and their family.. still brings a smile to my face.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, Stylistic, Conventional, Unconventional, Graceful
What about your business are you most proud of?
The amount of memories we have helped capture
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Never skimp on a Wedding Photographer, Always look to negotiate with the ones who's photos you really really love
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A couple who were gamers had their centre pieces, small gifts and cake centred around Gaming in a really stylish way.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Normally we would speak over the phone after receiving an interest to see what it is they are looking for and what we can offer. If both parties are happy we would aim to meet up (Unless their schedules were too busy and we would keep on with phonecalls) and we would get as many details as possible so we could time our day to get the best photos. A Deposit would normally be within the phone calls and meet up and then throughout the time up to the wedding making sure we have as accurate look of the day as possible. Final payment is anytime up to a month before the wedding and then a couple of weeks before the wedding we go through everything with the couple arranging specific times for particular types of the photography.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Always have a portrait shot of the two of you, it takes 30 mins from your schedule but definitely worth it in the end.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
A wreck the dress shoot with Paintball guns
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
This all depends on the venue, but 100% all the time we would find somewhere where we make the rain work for the couple in the photos.
Describe how you got into photography.
My Dad is a social photographer, and i used to play about with his camera. From there the rest is history. I do a few different types of photography but Wedding Photography and Landscape Photography are my passions.
