Full Description
So hey, I’m Amy. I affectionately refer to myself as “the wedding creep”. I’m based in Merseyside, but I work all over the UK & internationally. I’m ridiculously passionate about the kind of couples who couldn’t give a flying toss about being “over-perfect” on their wedding day. I absolutely LIVE for the real, unstaged (sometimes messy) moments. Because of this, I tend to specialise in weddings where couples bite the cake instead of cutting it, or change into matching sequin outfits for the evening party, or scale fences with me to get to the good portrait spots, who burst into fits of laughter because they're not models and no one ever actually knows how to "pose" in their portraits, and they're definitely not worried about a dirty dress hem because of how much fun they had not caring about it – my couples basically smash the shit out of their weddings by being utter carefree babes. When you begin looking for your perfect wedding photographer, you're basically looking for a new best mate, and the bond I make with all of my couples is so important to me – having that trust allows you to let your hair down and helps me capture you at your best without any awkward barriers. All I need from you in return is your willingness to have fun with me. When my couples meet me halfway, magic happens! Please know that I am sooo honoured to have even a tiny insight into your exclusive club of 2. My photos from your day will be a dedicated representation of all the love, fun, laughter, emotion and drunkenness that happened on the day you started your new forever.

What is your most memorable wedding?

Any wedding where the guests grinned all day, danced like fools and had the time of their lives.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Creative, non-boring, alternative, documentary, untraditional.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I have been listed in the Top 10 UK photographers and I have now shot over 200 weddings (that amount includes over 10 destination weddings).

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

The best way to love yourself in your wedding photos is to love yourself first. See the bigger picture. Don't focus on your small (sometimes imaginary) flaws; focus on the moment, focus on your smiles, focus on the fun. Always just be your wonderful, unconventional, weird and brilliant selves!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

When I receive an enquiry from you (which I hope to be bursting with lots of info about you as a couple and your amazing wedding plans), I will then reply with my package options. We then book a face-to-face or Skype meeting to natter, going over my sample albums and any questions you have. Then you decide on a package you want, sign your contract, pay your reservation fee and you're booked! Easy peasy!

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

There is no one single photo that suits every couple. Every wedding should be as unique and special as each couple is! I will capture everything as it happens (and I mean EVERYTHING - there is nothing too messy to capture) and create some portrait images that reflect your wacky, wonderful and weird personalities.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

KEEP SMILING - IT'S ONLY RAIN! Definitely don't avoid going outside just because it's raining. Embrace the rain, make it part of your day, take your shoes off and splash in puddles, dash outside for a few seconds with a brolly to get a unique image, do anything you can to make sure you don't feel miserable that it's raining. This is the UK after all, it always rains!!

Describe how you got into photography.

Totally by accident. I asked my dad for a video camera for Christmas and he bought me an SLR camera. And from then on I was hooked!
