What is your most memorable wedding?
Covering a royal wedding when I started my career in Dubai.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, passionate, natural, calm and candid
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book venues and photographers first, we get booked up!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I meet with the couple first hand to hear more about their day and tell them about me and what to expect from me, then we meet up again before the wedding to finalise details and to have a pre-wedding shoot. Then I am all theirs for the wedding, unlimited by hours, working all day until I have captured every detail from beginning to end.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Make time for couple photographs, even if its only ten / fifteen minutes. The photographs of the two of you are the ones you will want to print and frame.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Allocate and area / room where the photographer can organise the group shots or have some alone time with the couple. Ideally a room with a beautiful feature, such a fireplace, gorgeous window or amazing staircase.
Describe how you got into photography.
I had a boring corporate job before getting into photography, it was during maternity leave with my first child that I started dabbling in photography (eleven years ago). I loved in straight away and many courses later I set up a company called Ugly Duckling Photography, it grew to be one of the biggest wedding photography company in Dubai. I haven't looked back since. I relocated back to the UK three years ago and set up Anna B Photography.
