I offer one package which includes an engagement shoot in the Newcastle area, and photography from the bridal prep to just after the first dance. You'll receive 400+ carefully picked and individually finished photographs on a personalised wooden USB within a couple of months of your wedding. I photograph in a documentary way, rarely interfering with the natural flow of the day and only giving creative input when necessary for the best possible photos, but also the most relaxed wedding day. Many clients and their families have mentioned to me that they barely knew I was there, which was exactly what they wanted. When it came to receiving their photographs, clients have always been absolutely delighted. Most of my bookings come from word of mouth - clients absolutely love their photographs. I have a creative eye and a flair for what will look really amazing as a finished product. I encourage clients to be adventurous to get the best photos, even if it means hoisting up the dress a bit and walking over boggy fields or stones. The results are amazing. I am very friendly and love to get to know my clients from email exchanges, a meeting in person if desired, then the engagement shoot to get used to one another. I love to be placed at a table with guests during the meal to get to know some of the couple's friends.

What is your most memorable wedding?
There are a few - my first wedding was in Paris, France. I also remember fondly the first wedding I charged at full price and felt free to use my creativity - the result was a very happy couple who called my photography "simply magic." Finally, I went over to Northern Ireland to photograph my own wedding photographer's wedding, 5 years after she shot mine. What a privilege.
What about your business are you most proud of?
My couples are always so delighted with their photographs. Many of them have become friends as a result of them booking me and I know they really love their pictures - some thank me almost every time I see them!!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The bride and groom each kissed their mothers as they reached the end of the aisle - they were their "last kiss" before their "first kiss" as a married couple.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
The bride's parents kissing, next to the couple kissing, next to the groom's parents kissing. Another one I loved was the bride and her father outside their house, as they had the same picture of the bride's mother and her father on her wedding day some 25 years earlier.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Embrace it - you only get one wedding day. Buy some big umbrellas, some wellies and enjoy it. As an aside, rain can make for some very atmospheric photos.
