Detailed Description

Paul Sutton Photography is based in Lincoln, and covers all of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. Paul Sutton has worked in lots of venues in these areas, such as; The Priest House Hotel, Wollaton Hall, Aston Hall, Belvoir Castle, Newark Castle, The Lincoln Hotel, The Minster at Southwell, Goosedale Hall, Bestwood Lodge, Stapleford Park, Breadsall Priory, Woodborough Hall, Risley Hall and many many more. I endeavour to give my clients the best possible experience that I can offer, and take great pride in delivering high quality stylish photographs for couples to enjoy for the rest of their lives. I take every part of shooting a wedding very personally and will always go the extra mile to get the shots you deserve. I have been photographing weddings for eight years, and I enjoy each wedding I shoot more than the last. I take honour in providing my clients with an excellent service, and regard the relationships with my clients extremely important. I like the wedding day to be relaxed, fun and enjoyable for all involved, and strive to achieve this with each wedding I shoot. I document the day in a photojournalistic, almost street style of photography, capturing those moments forever as they unfold before the lens. I feel that is important to shoot this way, and remain as unobtrusive as possible in order to obtain the true essence of the day. After the ceremony, I take on a slightly different role and shoot more artistic, fashionable and contemporary portraits of the Bridal party and the guests, these are the ones people usually like to frame.

FAQs (6)

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Contemporary, documentary, artistic, creative, modern
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud of my creative and unique style. I also pride myself upon creating a relaxed and confident relationship with my clients to achieve the best work possible. I very often feel I have gained a mutual friendship from clients after the shoot.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number 1 wedding planning tip for couples is to work out how much time you need for each individual phase of the wedding then add some extra time to ensure everything moves flawlessly. Always expect the unexpected and plan for for it.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I think that the most important photographs from your wedding day are the artistic ones of yourselves, and also the documentary style photographs that, when viewed, convey the story unfolding throughout the day.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Always choose the most stunning venue you can afford, both inside and out. On rainy days, I use lighting equipment inside to achieve equally good portraits. Depending on the venue, I am likely to use the interior as well as the grounds.
Describe how you got into photography.
I started out as an artist, a painter who used the camera to create stills to paint from. My Father was a photographer, and as a child I spent quite some time in the darkroom with him; that was where the romance was first born for me.
