Whenever I shoot a wedding I remember my own wedding. What a busy day, full of emotions, celebrations and partying! It is my responsibility and honour as your wedding photographer to capture each of these moments so you can remember them forever.
The day starts with you two getting ready, putting on your wedding shoes, the best man checking the groom’s outfit or the bride’s mother inspecting the bride’s hair. The guests arrive and the ceremony starts…this the most important part for you but also for me as a photographer. The groom waiting in front, the bride’s entry, the vows, the speeches, the signatures, the ring, the kiss, grandma crying… there are hundreds of beautiful and moving moments for me to capture.
Now it's time for the ‘formal’ photos. We will include a few romantic shots of you two sitting or standing at well-chosen locations – you two looking into the camera, looking at each other – and of course a kiss picture shouldn’t be missing. After that I like to inject some fun into the scene and improvise – from formal to informal. A bottle of champagne and two glasses might help. We’ll play around for a while, and fun ideas are always welcome. The groom carrying his bride, you two dancing and fooling around – casual and fun.
For the reception and the party I’ll switch back to reportage mode. Just like during the ceremony I will try to capture every moment including speeches, games, cutting the cake, throwing the veil and of course the first dance.
My goal is to create timeless pictures – photos that don’t look dated even after many years. No cheesy effects or filters, just original and personal impressions of ever
