What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Every couple that I've worked with has said that their wedding day has flown by - and I'm sure yours will be the same! I promise you that while the photography will be an important element of the day, it won't completely take over this once in a lifetime occasion.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Generally speaking I have one key rule when capturing weddings, and that it is the couple who are the centre of attention, and who direct the proceedings. For that reason, I always follow the natural flow of the day, documenting things as they happen. I don't believe in disrupting proceedings for the sake of photos; it's far more magical to capture moments as and when they occur. Saying that, I may occasionally suggest that you move slightly to a position where the quality of light will enhance the photos. While the Bride is getting ready, for example, I may ask for small position changes, but you'll see that it was worth it when you receive the final photographs.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Rainy days are not a problem. :) - Can you imagine yourself standing under an arch with a beautifully lit rain in the backdrop? I can and I promise you will look amazing! I also have the latest lighting equipment which allows me to take the group photos indoor without compromising on quality or your schedulde.
