Full Description
I want to be your badass friend who will help you with whatever you need on the day, the friend who laughs with you, the friend who throws some shapes with you on the dance floor at the end of the night and the friend who just so happens to be able to take really, really good photos. Being a wedding photographer is so much more than just showing up on the day and clicking the button on a camera. My couples choose me because their number one priority is to enjoy their day and their second priority is to have badass photos that show it off! We won't spend hours capturing photos, to the point where your face is numb from fake smiling - in fact I actually limit group photos to a maximum of ten setups (these are your ride or die shots that will keep the parents happy) and then will whisk you away for your couple session so you can have some much-needed downtime with the bae. The rest will be fully documentary so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ride that is your wedding day.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Alternative, Relaxed, FUN, Documentary, Modern. (and one more for luck, rad!)

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Book in advance - most photographers (like myself) are unable to save your date unless a retainer fee is paid. So if you see a photographer you like, get in touch with them AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Chances are the longer you wait, the more likely you are to lose out on securing them for your date. (I didn't mean for that to rhyme, promise!)

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

When couples include their loved ones that are no longer with us in a small way. I lost my Nana when she was just 55 and recently lost another Nan in the last year as well so when I get married, I'd like to include them and all the other relatives who can't be there in some way.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

Discussion about day/ dates/ locations Further details about what can be offered Deposit paid/ Pre-booking consultation (Location dependant or Skype call) and signing of contracts Engagement shoot (if included/ booked in) One month check in to finalise timings Final check-in a few days before the day The big day! Sneak peeks within 24-48 hours Final gallery within 6-8 weeks

What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?

A photo that really represents you as a couple. I'm more of a Documentary and Natural styled photographer so love getting my couples to just be themselves. I won't be having any posed photos at my wedding as that's not really me. I'll probably end up have one of us pulling funny faces or shoving cake in my other half's mouth. Those are the photos I'd get printed and be putting up on our wall. Just be yourselves and just do you.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Umbrellas and confidence! Some of my favourite images have been from rainy day weddings.

Describe how you got into photography.

I've loved taking photographs since I was a little girl and was always a creative person. I took creative subjects like Music, Art and Graphics in school and went on to study Art and Design & Photography in College. I helped friends and family with anything they needed photographing and then around 3 years ago I was asked by a friend to photograph their wedding. Once done, I handed over the photos and thought nothing more of it. Then a year later a family friend asked me to photograph their wedding and things just took off from there! Now I am a full time photographer and loving it!
