I want to give you lasting memories, of the once in a life time moments, which you can revisit time and again. I like to spend most of your wedding day working discretely in the background to capture natural moments, without the pressure of knowing you are being photographed, this is when the magic always happens. I also enjoy spending time with you as a couple taking your portrait shots. I am a down to earth person who aims to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere for you on the best day of your life, capturing every detail of your day in a way that is unique to you. Prints are a great way of having a physical hard copy memory of every photo from your wedding day. Digital images are great but often get lost and forgotten about. There is something more special about getting out a beautifully presented box of prints and looking through each one in your hand. Why get an album? This is the perfect way of collecting the most special and finest photographs and putting them together to tell the story of your wedding day. They are perfect for your coffee table or taking to show loved ones who couldn't be with you on your special day. What is your most memorable wedding?
My sisters wedding at a countryside brewery.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Timeless, Classic, Natural, Easy-going, striking
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being able to help couple to enjoy their special day and give them a real memory of it.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Ask questions! Don't just presume things or be scared to ask. You are paying money for things so it should always be perfect for you! It's your 'special day' not your 'it will do day'
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Bespoke candles made in a pint glass and wine glass that were a pint of ale and glass of prosecco, the couples favourite drinks.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I will email back and forth initially to give them an idea of prices and get them to send me a list of requirements. I will then usually meet with the couple at the venue and talk through the day and plan out specific shots that they may have in mind in certain areas. I then get the couple to go away and write a shot list for the formal photos and then the rest is down to me. I will have an idea of times for the whole day so I can ensure everything runs smoothly and fits in with the photography.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
You can't pick one! If there had to be just one photo I would either say a beautiful portrait inside or outside of their venue or a natural shot of the couple laughing together showing the true happiness of the day.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Always have a nice umbrella with you ready. It is worth spending a little bit on a nice white one just incase! I always have a back up plan for rainy days and will have an indoor area already planned out for photos if outdoor formal shots are not possible.
