What is your most memorable wedding?
Each wedding we photograph has created its own unique memories. However, there are two that spring to mind. The first was at Eton Collage Chapel, with the sound of the Harp playing, which sent shivers through everyone. The second was a small, intimate wedding, with the couple dressed in jeans and even hired a bucking bronco for the after party.
What about your business are you most proud of?
We pride ourselves on providing the same high quality service for all regardless of religion, faith, ability or sexual orientation. Being entrusted to capture the memories of so many wonderful couples it such an honour and one we are truly passionate about.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
We always advise couples to meet their suppliers and ensure they feel a good connection, someone they can trust and feel comfortable with. Remember, years after your Wedding Day, your Photography will be there to remind you of all the little details and refresh the memories. So make sure to find a service that values the importance of those memories as much as you will.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
We often have couples book a pre wedding photoshoot and then create a Guest Message Book which incorporates their images too. It is lovely to look back on a read through the messages people have left.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We usually meet our couples up to 18 months before their wedding day. The first Pre Wedding Consultation offers the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss their requirements and wishes and the budget they need to work within. They also have the chance to see examples of our work and look at the various samples we have in the studio. Once decided our process is very simple. We have online Booking and Agreement documents that we email over. A 50% non refundable deposit is taken to guarantee the booking. The remaining 50% is taken 8 weeks before the wedding day. This ensures that the couple do not need to then worry about paying any extra money. However, they are always welcome to make additional purchases if they wish to.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Life can change at the blink of an eye so make sure to let your photographer know who the special people in your lives are. This could be family or friends, and it is not the same for everyone.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Go with it! You cannot change the weather, but you can choose to carry on regardless and not let it spoil your day. We always carry umbrellas and are prepared to work in all weather. Your photographer will find alternative places to shoot or creative ways to incorporate umbrellas and even welly boots!
Describe how you got into photography.
It is a very long story, but without meaning to use a classic cliché, those that know us know how true this is, when we say, it really was fate.
