Slipping in and out of rooms silently – you may not even notice my presence, save for the click of my shutter. Chasing light, laughter and love. This is the essence of a photojournalist romantic.

Full Description
  • Hello! I’m Emily and I’m a wedding photographer from Kent, England with a relaxed approach to wedding photography and a natural style. Half day prices from £750, Full day prices from £1495 - fine art albums, second shooters and more available. I like to get to know my couples; to find out what centres them – the core of their relationship. How they met, where their first date was. I want to know the emotions they feel and to be able to laugh with them. When you book with me, it is important that we feel as comfortable with each other as possible, to allow for the most relaxed photographs. Pre-wedding engagement shoots, long chats and many-a-3am-long-email in the run up to the maddening process of wedding planning is all a part of my job, and I love it. I go about my work quietly and by myself as much as possible, leaving you to enjoy and be present in the moments of your wedding day. Everything is up to your discretion, and it is entirely up to you how many portraits we capture. If you only want documentation of the exact occurrences and no other portraits of you both, that’s okay. If you want us to plan a few beautiful sessions in which we capture your newly wedded selves in love, I’m totally up for that! If you just want me to pinch you at the perfect opportunities for a good picture, I love that. I offer half day coverage from £750 for 3 hours or £995 for 5 hours. I provide Full Day coverage for £1495. I also offer an all inclusive package which offers a second photographer all day and a fine art wedding album - this is currently on offer for £2295. Ask a question
What is your most memorable wedding?
A wedding in the couple's home - they cleared all furniture out and transformed it into a venue, with DIY homemade bar and everything!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, Quiet, Easygoing, Documentary, Romantic
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud when I capture real emotion.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
I have a whole blog post on wedding planning tips! I also send out a HUGE wedding welcome pack with tips from previous brides and from me when you book with me! http://emilycrutcher.co.uk/wedding-planning-list-guide
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when people do something to celebrate people who can't be with them on that day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
That's a long one - so I'd love to chat this over in person.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
A photo of them in embrace, just after being married - usually taken during couples portraits. I also love couples photos.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Oooh, wow, there's been many. I had a designer bride who wanted photos of them in her hand painted Addams family "Mr and mrs" his and hers leather jackets that they wore to the wedding alongside her hand painted venue backdrops!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
An umbrella - we will still be shooting some stunning rain shots!
Describe how you got into photography.
I've always loved it, my parents gave me a camera as a child and I never put it down!
