- Every single picture in your wedding album will be worth a thousand words. When you talk about your wedding day, how will you tell the story? You'll want to remember every little detail, how excited you felt, and everyone who was there. As well as any formal shots, I'll capture those little moments you'll be able to share forever - everything from getting ready in the morning right through to the end of the day. I'll be an important part of your day, without getting in your way. “All we can say, and it seems quite inadequate, but 'Thank you'!!!!! Ewan took our wedding photographs and the whole experience, from 1st meeting to the final act of handing over our album and photos was so relaxed....everything we wanted with a photographer......no bossing around, no hours of posed photos.......and this is all reflected in our photographs......capturing everyone naturally and capturing the essence of the day....perfect!” Alison To make your life easier I have two adaptable wedding packages, from four hours to all day. Creative, artistic, sensitive, documentary, honest
What about your business are you most proud of?
Excellent images delivered promptly.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Look around for photographers and really look at their style and prices before making a decision. Go with someone you feel you can can trust and get along with.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Place cards that were in a an old clocking-in board for guest to pick their name from.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet with a couple in their home before the wedding to get a feel for how they live and what their expectations are of the photography. Work out the running order of the day and any special moments to be covered and people to look out for. I like to be early on the day to catch the preparations and then go right through till after the dancing. That way I get everything. On the day I try to capture what happens other than trying to get in the way making things happen. I keep it natural. After the wedding I usually have the images ready within two weeks and the photo book a couple of weeks after that. I will then come back to the couples home to deliver the book and have a reminisce about the day.
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The exchange of rings - the moment each commits to the other.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Hanging out of a third storey window to get the whole wedding party on the shot.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Smiles and umbrellas!
