“We just wanted to say a heartfelt “thank you” for capturing such a beautiful set of photos to remember our wedding day by. You were so ...
I love to photograph people and I especially love to photograph weddings – there’s nothing quite like it. I can’t help but get caught up in the excitement, the emotion, and the happiness and significance of the day. I can’t think of a better place to do a day’s ‘work’, surrounded by happy people sharing so many memorable and intimate moments together.
My style as a documentary wedding photographer is to work in a friendly and unobtrusive way but with passion and creativity to ensure I do everything I can to produce a timeless story that you and future generations will treasure. I would love to be considered as your documentary wedding photographer to capture your special and unrepeatable moments – the glances, the touches, the happiness, the fun and the smiles you share, and maybe even the occasional tear!
I'm more than happy to photograph weddings almost anywhere in the UK. Distance isn’t really a barrier - I'd even love to hear from you if you are considering a destination wedding.
I also offer a complimentary engagement photoshoot. The thought of being photographed terrifies most people but I find this is an amazing way to get to know one another in a fun and relaxed way, build confidence and establish a rapport ahead of the big day. It makes a huge difference.
You will be dying to see some of your wedding photographs as soon as possible so I offer all my couples a "Photo-a-Day" for 7 days immediately after your wedding. So something really special to look forward to whilst on honeymoon!
You receive a collection of amazing individually edited photos on a beautiful customised USB and in a password-protected web gallery for you to share with your friends and family. All my couples also receive an emotional slideshow of a selection of your best photos set to music.
Finally, if you would like to see your photos expertly printed and framed or in a gorgeous Queensberry wedding album then I can provide a range of options for your consideration.

What is your most memorable wedding?
It sounds a little crass but I remember every wedding as being special!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, friendly, creative, unobtrusive and emotional
What about your business are you most proud of?
I see it as an enormous privilege to be chosen as a wedding photographer so I treat every couple as if they were my only customers. I always push myself to deliver a collection of special memories that the couple will love and treasure.
What is your #1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Find a photographer who loves weddings, has the style you love and the character you and your family will enjoy on your big day!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
When the couple see you as a friend on their wedding day!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
First of all get in touch by email or give me a call to check availability. I'll send you my latest wedding brochure. Chat about your wedding plans, get excited, if possible meet up or chat some more. If you decide to book me then a deposit secures your wedding date. If possible we'll meet up for your complimentary engagement photoshoot and get even more excited!
What is the #1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I love the photo when the bride and groom first sets eyes on one another - a very special moment.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Go with the flow, it will still be an amazing day! We will always have a back up plan for your photographs but if you are adventurous, bring some brollies along and let's have some fun and capture some special moments. You'll stay dry but I'll probably get soaked!
Describe how you got into photography.
I've loved taking photographs since I was a teenager with a film camera and felt the magic of developing my own films. Over time I realised that the photos that captured people and their character gave me the biggest thrill so it was an easy step for me to move from being a scientist and inventor to becoming a full-time professional wedding photographer.
